Some of you will remember that there was a bit of "friction" after round 1, because some of the riders were riding and training the route for two weeks prior to the event, while others with different international commitments could only fit one practice run in their schedule.

 

Well, for round 2, the route will only be unveiled on race weekend. Nice when race organisers value rider input.

Lets hope Greg has beefed up his tyres and Fab won't pass him again on his run. No practice should be a big leveller too.

"Taking advantage of two of the Val d'Allos - Le Seignus resort's chairlifts means that the start of each liaison will be accessed primarily from the lifts, but with an untimed first lap for each stage offering a kind of live practice. In combination with the second timed lap, riders will total 10,000 metres of cumulative vertical drop and more than an hour of cumulative race time."
