Today was awesome! My 1st duathlon as well and harder than I thought it would be! Not so much the transitioning, but the climbing was proper! Tracked 695m ascent with my Bryton.

Definitely going to give the one a Cornwall a shot as well!

How was it for you sdaghers?

My wife's first off road duathlon.....and second mtb ride. She hated it, not exactly the type of terrain for a newbie mtber. I was in trouble for telling the route would be easy. During the race I saw a number of pple really struggling with what I would not even rate technical. A few of the roadies I spoke to on route did not seem to b enjoying the route either

So was the route too challenging for a duathlon?

Reckon the route was fair. Some of the single track was a bit sketchy with the ruts but overall I think it allowed for fairly decent flow considering it was a lap route.

Definitely wouldn't say the route was technical. Maybe some of the ruts abit tough as mentioned by zaruk but pretty easy overall I reckon. Mostly pretty open and fast.

It is confirmed though...I'm not a huge fan of unseeded starts.

Anybody doing this one?

It's my first Duathlon and I'm entering as a team to do the main event - any help, pointers as to what to expect?

How was your first Duathlon - apart from cold?

Event #4 was a winner.

The run had some "trail" stuff in it and the mtb course was a bit more technical than most. Weather looked dodgy before the start but warmed up nicely.

Event was flawless again - Andre and his team really set the bar high for duathlon events.

10/10 in my book. Great day out.

Surprised that you managed to take in any of the scenery at the pace that you were going!

Hope that prize money bought something other than a lap dance at the `Stink-Flamink`

Also rated the 4th event. Much more fun, lovely downhills....easy climbs, enjoyed it. Anyone notice the quad that had an oopsy - the one guy looked a bit hurt (was he ok in the end) - the first aiders seemed to be struggling to get to them.
