Would the same apply to removing decals from carbon wheels.? (under clear coat)

I'll try using a hair dryer first....seems it does the trick.

That's fine for standard sticker decals which are not under a clear coat.

Clear coated wheels probably need to be sanded/chemically treated.

Stay away from harsh chemical type paint removers , most of them contain caustic which will stuff up the molecular structure of the epoxy. Blasting the frame will pit the carbon and possibly make it a bit fluffy as the individual strands are being broken. Guys there is no quick fix or short cut here . Start with 120 grit and work your way down to either 400 or 600 .

Acetone will only degrease the frame which is a great idea just prior to painting not a solution for paint removal.

I removed paint from ABS scooter panels with acetone, was so harsh it ate into the plastic too so I switched to water paper

Any updates here, I got a good deal on some carbon bars, but not to keen on the decals though. What could one use to remove these? Would I have to sandpaper them instead of using any stripper?
