Rudi Pollard Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I took by bike to Frikkie at Tool-Up on Tuesday midday to upgrade my drivetrain. I bought all the parts for the upgrade myself and just asked them to please fit everything for me as I won't have time before the weekend. No questions asked he had a spot open for me, and I picked up my bike yesterday afternoon in perfect condition. I paid them for the labour, and off I went. Thanks Frikkie. You and your team are doing excellent work. Keep it up!!!

Took my bike in for a service, was ready a day earlier than promised. Went to collect yesterday afternoon but got stuck in the traffic due to the afternoon storms. No problem - they'll keep the shop open for me! To top it all, I buggered up my Lezyne pump bracket and they gave me a replacement for free! They have some pretty sweet steel frames & Rocky Mountains there that will have to get added to the Christmas wishlist...Tool-Up, I salute you!

In the ol' CRC vs. LBS debate I used to be in the CRC camp. Not anymore. There really is merit in building a relationship with your LBS.
