Very Disorganised with marshals and timing, laps dont work when slow riders are allowed on the route.. The grass and mud sections was difficult but a good ride non the less managed to stay in 3rd place with manny and kevin for the 1st 8km then died plus decided to clean out my derailler and sproket of long grass. Had fun think I won the short route but dont know since I cant find the timing they took. I saw them do manual timing so now I want my results cos I reckon the few that where infront of me did the long race not the short one..

An enjoyable ride, bit too much pavement and tar to be a proper MTB race.

The single track was great through the woods, nice and twisting and you  can't see the track ahead which was enjoyable.

Not sure I will be back next year it was a bit of  an attempt to throw in an MTB race to the weekends activities.

Give me a lots of climbing and single track in the country and I am in, not this urban mash of pavement tar and dodging aeroplanes.

The fun part was lapping my mates on the 50km route.

Well done.Clap

The organization will probably be better second time.

Thought it was fun and me bum is still vibrating from al daai graspolle!!! Thought the marhalls did a great job!!

The part I did not like was riding into oncoming traffic as the path was very narrow and if you had to clip one of those lamp poles with your handlebars you could just meet a car head on!

Remember people this isses the east rand so dont expect Sani to Sea views.

I spoke to Wynand de Villiers, there will be no results for this race. He said something about Champion chip that could not provide mats. Why were we not notified before the start of the race, no enrty fee reduction either? They are going to post the top three on cyclingnews.co.za and you can compare your results against that. I don't know how accurate their results are going to be either, as there were guys that did the 25Km and started with the 50Km race.

I phoned him on Fri to ask about timing and he told me there will be no timing. I still decided to do it and had to count the chicks in front of me to guess where I was sitting. I enjoyed it besides the tar, &%*R%$($ pavements and super super bumpy terrain. I am not sure it was worth the R100 though.....

no results ......... then how can it be called a race. More like an expensive fun ride.

I'd like to know how organisers can charge money for a so called race and then not have results.

We have to have licences but what minimum requirements do organisers  have to meet ...... or does CSA even have minimum requirements for events.

Does CSA sanction events? if not why do we need licences?

There are quite a number of races that dont give results, but agree if its advertised and factored into the cost then they should.
