Hi Guys n Gals

I am looking for a MTB route from Rayton via Cullinan to Waverley in PTA.

I know the route via Hazeldean to Rayton.

But if anyone has a route that they do around that general area for distance then I would appreciate to know about it.

Thanks!! :)

Well, from Waverley you can go through the poort to Zambezi road, you can carry straight on ove to the Molotto road and go past the dam, then take the first tar road right. About 3km down this road you get a wiiiiide dirt road going left, that goes pretty much all the way to Cullinan. Let me see if I have a track or google map of it.

Something like this:

From where the route starts up untill the train tracks on Molotto road there's a nice dirt track off to the western side that you can ride. From the train tracks north the road shoulder gets a bit dodge however. You can also hook a right at the train tracks and follow them untill the Kameelfontein road (Which is the road you turn right into from Molotto road on the map)

Great thanks I just needed the last link to Cullinan. I ride this area every week and know most of these roads but now I can doe the full loop which should get me close to about a 100ks

Also look at the R451, I've heard that it's also a nice dirtroad. Alittle further along the Molotto road.

Schweet, I also like riding in the area. I stay in Queenswood, so have to pick between going to Boschkop area or Kameelfontein area (although I've been playing a bit along Bon Accord as well)

I basically want to start From Waverley through to Hazeldean centre on the tar  then from there up towards Rosemary hills but straight across old Boschkop and then over the hill to the R515 then left towards Rayton. There are some gravel roads I wanna try there and then through to Cullinan and then back via the road you gave now and then the Kameelfontein loop that I normally ride.

Squier, do you know the singletrack next to the river, close to the highway? From there you take the Bronkies road east (although there's some shortcuts through the bush) to Avondzon (Old Blikbord pub), then through Pienaarspoort (DIK DIK DIK sand) through to the north of the Magaliesberg :)

Mmmm me smells a group ride should rather be planned for this. Start in Silver Lakes, hit the river singletrack, Avondzon, poort, then to Cullinan ...

That sounds like a good idea! I'd prefer to ride with someone that knows the trail. I do a lot of riding in the Boschkop area, but don't know these trails at all.

What sort of mileage are we looking at?
