Hi,

Quick question. I bought the 2014 Merida Big 7 Tfs 500 this week and was looking through the stats.

The dealer told me the fork is a air shock on the 2014 but If I go onto the Rock Shox website it says its a coil shock..?

I am new to mountain biking and just want someone with knowledge of these bikes to clarify that it is an air shock because that can have a huge factor on the price of the bike.

Thanks

Unscrew the cap on the top of the left leg. If it comes off and there's a valve under it, it's air. If it says 'preload' and doesn't come off, it's coil.
