kona cadabra stolen in Tokai

Hi guys.  My bike was stolen last night. We had contractors change our garage door motors a few weeks ago and looks like one of them kept a remote as there is no evidence of the garage being tampered with and they specifically came for my bike.

 

My bike is very specific.  Chances are there I have the only one in the country with the supplier issues they've had. Pic attached

Has it been reported? Please report it, my experience with the local station is they need the motivation of taking bike theft seriously. Other experience is that you need to drive the process of them investigating. All the info you can supply will help the case but don't for a minute think you can go home knowing the case will be handled.

 

Can I ask, are the contractors from the area?

I've reported it to the cops, Ive distributed flyers to all the local bike shops and at tokai forrest. Ive also placed an ad on gumtree.

 

The bike is unique so i have a feeling it will turn up at some point.

 

The contractors were from the area, I spoke to the owner of the business but as you can imaging he says he trusts them so much he would die for them. I gave all their details to the cops so hopefully they follow up but not holding my breath

The couple who were mugged in Tokai have just come back from a 5 week holiday to find out that the water bottle found discarded in the bushes has still not been dusted for prints. Not good especially as the two muggers were caught (by the public) and promptly released due to lack of evidence. If the cops had done their job and taken bike crime seriously, we may have had two convictions.

 

Hound the cops!
