24 hole 650b rims

So I was planning on building my current 26" XTR wheels over on 650b rims. Got a shock when I started counting the spokes and only got 24.... Really expected more.

 

Had a look around and can't seem to find any rims that will work. Also wondering if building 24 hole 650b wheels will be reliable...

 

Any comments please?

24 spoke not that common on mtb AFAIK, normally 32 based on my limited wheel building experience, def, only 32 ZTR 650b.

 

 

Stan has some nifty carbon 24-spoke carbon rims coming up though, going to be an expensive solution!

Those are nice, but for that price I'll rather build a new set Crests with Hope hubs. Also found these, but still a bit expensive and worried about the strength

Thanks Tumbleweed, I contacted them but they dont sell the rims seperately. Think I might go with the light bicycle ones mentioned above...

 

Anyone have an opiniion on them?
