I would suggest HR that you take more than 1 bike for the next 24 hour (just in case!), and we know you do have more .........

LOLLOLLOL

bored girl loves to remind me of the two laps i did before retiring (and there wasn't even a bar in sight - haha!). we had to run like a kay (ok, ok, it wasn't that far) to get our bikes. and i am so not a runner. it was a pity, cos it came just weeks after rockhoppers' six-hour, which, as it was held at phambili, was a lot tougher than parys.

i hung around to support my buddy, thys, and chatted to bored girl as she lapped - and that's how i got to know about the hub?and, now, a year down the line, i'm everyone's favourite hubber!WinkLOL

She must keep the chain ring protector BB the weight of the protector is the only thing holding her back from beating me in the sprint for finish.

I had no protector on on Sun Cry and then some people reckon it's everything else that slows me down....lets see.....frame, cranks (of unknown origin), my beloved dr sludge tyres....a few other items spring to mind since I saw the kcnc bars and bar ends and seat clamp and and and.

I wonder 1. What it would feel like to ride a hub approved, weight weenie bike and 2. I wanna try out a full suspension one of these days.... After Sat I think I need to think of ways to manufacture money....

And not to put to fine a point on it but I was faster round the Fountains XC course on my S-works HT than my Epic, but I would still rather ride my Epic at SabieX than a HT .............. BigBen2008-02-13 02:41:24

Understandable :) I didn't mention getting rid of the HT did I now? LOL The Emperor's race just HAS to be done on a FS if they use the same route again....really really not pleasant...Think I forced myself to go faster just so that the torture can finish faster. Found the same although not as bad at Illovo last year....

But I am not sure...NF is fine on a HT. Maybe a FS has some benefits if you gonna go round and round in cicles for 24hrs though....

So with all this yapping, has there been any decisions on the Parys 24hr?

C'mon folk, I don't wanna start dishing out headslaps to HR!
