Images and avatars not displaying

This is a question for the more technically advanced out there. Since my computer ran some updates earlier in the week I am unable to view any pictures posted by hubbers nor can I view any avatars. All ADDS of third parties can bes seen. It seems just to be involving "posted" media? Any suggestions???

Hi duringd,

 

Many display / format issues are the culprit of old / outdated web browser caches. A first step would be to clear your browser cache and visit the site again.

Another trick to force the browser to reload all files is to press: Ctrl + F5 while viewing the page

 

If this does not work it may be connectivity related. Our images are stored separately from the site itself so it's possible that something may be blocking connection to the image server, yet the rest of the site is fine.

 

If the clearing browser cache doesn't work we can look at other options.

Anyway I can turn off the avatars perhaps Mr Matt?
