My tyres indicate 1,9 - 3,7 bar so I usually go halfway; around 2,8 bar. Using this tool it suggests 1,8 and 2,0 bar, but that is very close to the minimum so can't be good for the tyre?

I have 29" 2,25 tubeless and weigh 85kg

You can even go a touch lower. I run the same size tires. What you will find, is a tire with a stronger sidewall can be run slightly lower as the tire holds it's shape well. I reckon everyone over 85kg, like yourself should run a tubeless tire with a stronger sidewall(Schwalbe snakeskin/ Geax TNT/Maxxis UST). I have found that at my weigh the lighter sidewalls tend to "fold in" under itself when you corner aggressively. This is just my opinion after playing with pressures and trying different brands of tires.

dont worry about the health of the tyre: it's a consumable after all. What is however more important and way less replaceable, is your noggin and your frame. Get the best grip you can, lower the pressure. The only concerns you should have with too low a pressure is sidewall stability (The Squish™), and rim dents.

good job! amazing what a simple change in pressure does to the overall handling of a bike.

I'd like to know how you can base an aspersion on my character based on the fact that you are probably too stupid to understand why psi is used in this calculation.

what happened to the days of making jokes...

According to this I need to run 1.3 and 1.5 bar Front and Rear.

Finally I think having an accurate pump or gauge is critical.

Accurate is key at low pressures - my Park tool pump gauge is out at low pressures - so 2.0 on the gauge is actually 1.3 in the tyre... and so on and so forth.... which is an issue when you shoot for 1.4 in the tyre... leads to rim dings....

So I rely on my topeak digital gauge, which I regularly compare against another hugely expensive and accurate pressure gauge
