Ok - hands up - who thought it was going to be easy? I went out yesterday pm for 'n lekker hard lap at Groenies because I expected a Sun City type flatish course. Dont know if it was the wind, heat or just me being softc.ck, but I was really hurting at the end. Couldnt fault anything re. organization or the race. Hope this becomes a permanent fixture now. Finished much slower than Sun City at 2:56.

Also stumbled in with a 2h56.

All and all a very lekker little race (that almost made me cry like a sissy girl :D)

Only did the 52 with the wife. Was well organised. Will be back next year

Had one chop passing us about 10k's into the race, shouting keep left, keep left. Confronted him as we were keeping left as to why he was not doing the long distance if he is so professional. Got a mouthful back and that if we want to take up the road we must only do the Argus and 94.7 as there are full road closure there. Just laughed at him bloody chop. He had no number on by the way.

I was parked next to a very loud group. A big guy told the carguard he will moer him the moment he got out of the car. After the race he was mouthing of about how easy it was and how the other cyclists were in his way - but he sorted them out. When he turned around and had a CM number!!! It takes all sorts!

What an awesome race, thanks to those that participated. We, The Road Rangers, has learnt some new swearwords and hand signs from the PTA motorists, ha ha ha....

No major incidents. Thanks to the cyclists for adhering to our instructions to make the race safe..

Well done guys, and thank you!!

Hahahaha! Did anyone see the marshal hit the super-bike rider with his flag when he tried to catch a gap between cyclists at the 2nd turning? It was hilarious.. and I give him kudos... and when the superbike tried to catch the gap again and ignore the fact that cyclists had right of way, he got hit again..... and was given a mouthful of wonderfully expressive language!!

First 36riders in 30secs. Must have been carnage!

We were at the finish when the elite group came in. AWESOME bunch sprint!!! And the speed!!!

Nolan had a 5 meter lead and put up his hands like 20 meters before the finish, coz at that rate of knots no-one will catch you. WOW!
