Hi there

Hopefully with Cyclelab now a Scott agent you will get better service through them. They tend to stick behind what they sell.

Has anything happened since you send the original email, if not I'd raise it with Scott international. Unacceptable.

Do you work for Cyclelab?

No,

just always had very good service, from day one. But think it is also mostly related to the store you buy through, but if that does not work they are a bigger franchise and you can always refer it to Andrew.

No reply as of yet, I emailed the local lbs number of times no answers, phoned them left msgs never came back eventually my mate decides hes gonna go in and see whats happening he popped in 3 times , thse 3rd time the chainstay was there, and if it werent for my mate id prob still not know its in because they dont inform you .....

Then they say this is the best they can do as far as coulor goes because I have a "cheapie" wtf

We going to try our damnest to get hold of scott sa or something.... between my mate and myself we have 3 scotts this leaves a sour taste in our mouths with regards to the local lbs and scott

I feel like stripping the scott and put the parts on another frame ....

because of your Thule ordeal I think differently about Cyclelab

Agree,

I personally don't care if I bought the cheap or expensive option, I still invested with a brand and expect that brand to support me when a problem arises.

Brands easily forget today that the best thing they have is word of mouth, but it's a double edged sword, it can also be their worst enemy if they don't attend to the brand.

time to pickup the phone and bypass the lbs and go to the local brand owner.

With Berg and Bush a week away it can still be fixed with some over night shipping etc.

I think alot of my problems im experiencing has been promoted by the lbs , I read write ups of a chap whose chainstay was replaced in 2 weeks

The retailer can only go as far as the distributor gives the support for them to do so.

As for your love poem, massive turnaround from what a bunch of "clowns" they were with your Thule rack scenario.

As for the OP's problem.

It seems like a rather common problem on the Scott bikes (one of those where their R&D work was left up to he public again)

So it is highly likely that they ran out of warrantee stock they had as a result of the number of warranties they have had to execute.

I sincerely hope for the OP's sake they aren'y delaying his new stay by trying to save some money by brining it in with their next shipment .

Yeah ive e-mailed the rep, mate is going to try probike and if we dont come right .....hello peter has got nothing on me ;)....

Its not a warrantee part, I purposesly ordered the part from the quote they submitted im paying for the part

Ye, the shop/agent can only do so much, which depends on the distributor, but then I've seen agents go further, go the extra mile, even after a distributor was not coming to the party, they went further and fixed problem, took ownership.

I never had a problem with CL and how they handled my problem, you seem to have had a problem with them.

The Thule subject, it's been closed for a while... lets leave it at that

Don't try and turn the tables, thats shallow and unnecessary.

Many will attest in what a bad light you put Cycle Lab in that thread of yours, be man enough to take the onus on to yourself instead of making childish claims as above.

Even in your thread I made mention to the fact that you were dragging their names through the mud for no reason.

In that case get on to Probike as quick as you can, let them fly it in.

Thats our next step today sir... but im not going to hold my breath

I am pretty sure a phone call to them, with a nice stern but yet diplomatic approach will force them to move their hand.
