Downhill venues

Hi there, where are there other downhill rides in Jhb ?

I know of Helderkruin and Thaba trails.

Any others ?

Waar is Helderkruin DH park, is dit oop vir die publiek, ek het dit probeer google maar kom op niks af nie. Ek sal graag daar gaan ry.

Helderkruin is in Roodepoort. Not a DH park. Just a really fun short track built and maintained by the locals.

Baie kort eintlik. Kan in so 3 minute van bo tot onder ry as jy rustig ry.

And then try to ride up the hill to the top again .........that separates the men from the boys.....take a mate to fetch you with his bakkie or tow you up again with his veldfiets of iets....or to take you to the hospital.......

Graphite avenue in Helderkruin is the bottom.

So stand in the road with the hill on your right.

Go straight. Turn right.

Go up the hill, to the last road, turn right.

You are at the top.

Put on your helmet and pray to god........ And down you go.....

 

The long cocks ride up again......

 

And I mean on the tar. It is not possible to cycle up again offroad, in my opinion.
