Anyone that know this race? I see there is 13-15 climbs

Same area as the Worcester ride.

i'm sure it used to be a longer distance in the past but they might have taken out the flat section from Bonnievale to Robertson circle. if so , its going to be a hard fast 60 km with a lot of rollers of which 2 are short but steep.

Nowhere near Worcester. 80% of route is part of DC. 3 short steepish hills

have you done the race before . Do you think its worth going. Maybe make a weekend.

I've done the 42km MTB last year and going to do it again this year. Was my very first event I've entered and enjoyed it. I can't comment on the road race side but the MTB was good and for only being in the saddle for over a month and a half before the race it was challenging for me so I'm aiming to improve on my time over that of last year

Oh and the bonus is there is a Sunday race/fun ride for the MTB blokes as well and I'm doing both again.

Last time I raced this one "ROAD" it was a disaster due to pretty much zero effort from the local organizers, I hope this time round who ever responsible for the event runs it better.. The scenery and landscape are freaking amazing and with the DC route using the same roads this could be used as great recon training/racing.

so is there nobody doing this race?

Doesnt seem like it. I was also wondering. I have had too many road races where I make a effort ,and when get to the event there is 30 or 40 guys. I am injured from a fall last weekend, so I can not do the mtb, wrists are shot. So was hoping to do the road race, but looks like I will skip. No interest it seems.

I wanted to carpool with a couple of mates, but nobody else was keen on the 430km return travel to Cape Town.
