DI2 update

Is there any shop in Cape Town where they can update your DI2 firmware? I have ultegra 6770 which was released without the multishitft function , I don't want to spend money on buy the diagnostic tool and was wondering if there is a shop to take it too?

Have the same problem. Seems like a "first world" problem if there ever was one.

Flip it, are these expensive systems worth it if you need to update freaking firmware to make your bike run nicely?

There are people who flash their Xboxes using JTAG (?), so maybe with some research you can hook up your Di system to a serial port and flash it yourself

Not sure if it's worth the cost but the shifting is really nice. Always crisp and perfect shifts. No tinkering with the system once set. It just works.

I made a deal with my LBS (Hatfield Cycles)- they buy the software and charge me for all the time it takes them to work out the system. Was worth every cent. I now have a system that shifts as long as I keep the shifter depressed (at the speed I chose). Was not expensive.
