All roads are safe around Wellington. If you feel like climbing you can do a over and back on Bainskloof. If you feel like flattish ride you can ride in direction Hermon, left at hermon and then turn around on 1.5hr mark. You can do the same on the Malemesbury road. You can head out Stellenbosch way (R44) turn left on the road going past Fairview come through Paarl and make up time on either Malmesbury or Hermon road. You can even do the Hermon loop which goes over Bothmaskop, left on the Malmesbury road and head back to Wellington. At a avg pace it should be just shy of 3hrs (+-80-85km). Really lots of options and all are safe. I will be doing over and back Bainskloof ride tomorrow morning. Going away on sat morning otherwise you could have joined me/us for a ride

There is a ride leaving from the Cyclelab in Paarl at 6:30, 50 or 82km route, witj the 50 being relaxed and the 82 not so relaxed, but all the coffee afterwards is at your own pace, for more info call the shop on 021 8634001

Hi All

Thanks for the replies - we are staying 1.5km from Welvanpas, so decided to substitute the road ride with a MTB ride.

I did the white route, was amazing, pretty tough with 900m of climbing, but amazing how much single track has been built, would recommend it to anyone - they say it should take 2.5 - 3.5 hrs, i did it in just under 2 hrs, but it was a tough hard lekker ride.. had some close calls on those switchbacks ;-/
