Bike advice

Im looking to get myself a late xmas gift .I sold the old Momsen and im looking for a new one.

I had a look around and found 2 bikes i like.The Momsen AL629 and the X-AL

(yes I'm one of the big guys) .

 

Would probably replace the Crest on al 629 with Arch.

 

Any experiences good or bad, any advice or just your personal opinion on these two bikes.

I'd say both are strong points:

 

AL629

1) The SLX brakes on the AL629 is better.

2) Arch hoops better & stronger than Inferno's

 

X-AL

1) SID is a better fork I think.

2) BB and crank more standard and easier to replace / upgrade.

3) I don;t like the brakes.

 

I'd ask (if possible) for Arch wheels on the X-AL, and try to get either XT or SLX brakes on the X-AL. Then you have a killer bike!

seems like a hard choice! Try and test these bikes otherwise go for the x-al like dee said!

I'm shallow and would pick the X-AL purely because it looks better.

How much is the X-AL going for?

The x-al was R22 000 but it is on sale for R18 500 at cwc .

The AL629 is going for R19 500 .

I'm about 95kg.. Would the X-AL be more suitable for someone over 95kg?
