I ride a 2013 Flash Carbon 3 with Alu Lefty with the standard Formula Lefty SL hub. More often than not the hub starts to squeak (sounding like a little bird calling for it mom). When I took the bike for first service at CWC they said it's a common "issue" with Lefty hubs. When you remove the wheel you are able to see the rubber seal that apparently causes the sound. They advised me to just add a drop of lube every now and then.

Has anyone else had this problem? Will a drop of Finish Line Wet Lube work? I don't want to use lube that might degrade the seal...

i have the same problem, easy fix though, every now and then just loosen the wheel nut and spay some lube around the nut area i use a Teflon based spray lube but any lube will work.

I transport my Scalpel in the boot of my car. So I'm always taking the wheels off.

I just put a dab of grease on the spindle where the bearing seats and on the thread where the screw engages every now and then. Never had a problem with squeaks.

In fairness the lefty issue is a real thing but as with any moving part in a mechanical thing keep it clean, lubed and mobile and it will work. To say "Specialized" is better is a bit silly. He isnt complaining about the frame, alex wheelset or seat so you may as well pick rockshox on this point, or SRAM on a broader spectrum and stick with it.... And really, if youre comparing you RockShox with a Lefty and thinking its better, good on you. I dont own suspension forks and I appreciate the plush goodness of the lefty over you SRAM goodness...... Neither are bad, both are for pansies but the lefty is better...
