Just for interest sake I phoned Andre De Beer yesterday and asked if there is any chance that the race will be cancelled if there is heavy rain.

No chance, so better pack your raincoat and Wetsuit, going to be a wet and muddy one, as all the running is off-road, same route as Afriman

Eldron, it seems that David Lappies is now in our age group, and is in for the race. Now you will have someone to run with..............

Really looked forward getting a good indication of form compared to Afriman, now the rain/mud will definitly play a part. But who knows, maybe its not as bad as one thinks and we dont have to dodge mud pools left and right.

jip, we better watch it on those conveyor belts, might be slippery.

Remember last year provincials there was in march and it was a scorcher, if we do not get rain it will be a nice day for racing

I hope the cloud cover stays until sunday, or else the humidty will be hell on the last run.

THe trail run is about 50/100meter from the start to the road and then from the road back to the finish (and maybe the same bit on each lap). It is a nice change from the gravel as it winds through the stream bed (oops if it rains).

Awesome - loved that course last year - just enough hills to make it interesting without dropping the speeds too much.

The mtbers will also make up some time on the 300m dirt stretch to the tar road ;-)

Give it horns kick some butt.

Only problem with this statement, is that I am the butt that is going to get kicked. Eldron, why are you not riding the Argus?

Someone to chase more like it!

There are quite a few good runners in the 40-44 group. Shaun, Terry, David and a few names I haven't seen before.

Bring it!

@Sean32 - thanks mate.
