Cellar Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Vuelta climbs are tougher that most anticipate. Probably on par with this year's Giro, which is the hilliest in a while. The Vuelta stages are shorter, and the Pro Tour teams are invariably tired and lots of top hitters are building to Worlds at that time, so the smaller teams can cope with the strain of three weeks better.
