Robbie Hunter published a series of tweets last year informing the cycling fraternity he was calling time on his career despite wanting to ride one more season as a pro.

The South African was part of the peloton that contested the Tour Down Under here in Australia just 12 months ago but is now calling the shots from the Garmin-Sharp car as a sports director.

I’d like to carry on helping South African riders.

 

lets see him sign a young up and coming Saffa in August as a stagiaire with Garmin......

Can you imagine having him shouting in your ear during an individual TT :eek:

 

Can't be worse than John Robertson. Did you hear him shouting and swearing at the Barloworld guys during that one Giro del Capo hillclimb?

well he's already in the world tour, so no point, I'm referring to someone from a local club/team who could try make it - dylan girdlestone springs to mind.....

I didn't know the shimano guy had gone to a pro tour team?
