Indoor trainer skewers

Nothing like setting up the IBT (edit: IDT) and finding out the skewer has been blixemed away!

 

These can be bought easily at lbs or do I have to order them...?

You can use any old skewer, even the one that's on your bike. My LBS put one of these all metal ones on the wheel that I bought for training.

Stem saam, just need to make sure that the skewer caps and QR lever fit into the IDT clamping bits that go over the skewer, without any interference.

My Elite IDT came with its own skewer, its nothing special just a basic skewer.

like the picture above just make sure the lever is on the side of the scewer and not on the end. most new ones are on the end.

Precisely what I am looking for. Unfortunately all my skewers have the flat edge.

 

Just came of the phone with leighs cycle centre... They dont have any in stock

Plenty older metal skewers knocking about at urban cycles in umgeni rd (next to the Lion match factory).

Shot thx a lot... ill check in a few LBS's this weekend and will give you a shout if things dont turn out....
