paper006 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I am looking for a nice bicycle to ride to the Uni. My friend is selling his silverback Phoenix for R3000. The specs:- Tubeless 26" Maxiss tires- Medium Frame size- Hydraulic disc brakes- Shimano Deore Shifters- SLX Derailers- Shimano Pedals- XCR Suntour Shocks- New Cassette, Chain and Brakes Is it a good bike or should I rather look for another one?I am also not sure about tubeless tires. I have no experience with them. Thanks.

karlito Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Think about whether or not you will want to use the bike only to commute. If so then that bike should be fine. Just make sure it is the correct size. However if you would like to start doing some proper MTB'ing then consider going for an air shock. Tubeless is the way to go. Just keep in mind you will need to replace the sealant in the tires every 6 months or so
