No butt seriously (hahaha) 531: Chrome/manganese/steel alloy501: Chrome/molybdenum/steel alloy+1 531 is just about the best you could get and it's still great to ride. It's right up there with Columbus SLX tubing. Both legendary tube sets..

quintonb Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I ride a cannondale as well and have rebuilt my old 525 hansom with original groupset. I has down tube shifters, and I just love the bike. Much nicer to ride than my 'dale. Can't beat the ride quality of good steel.
