excuse the poorly written subject but is anyone lease getting annoyed when item sare advertised at a price but when you view the products only one option is at a silly low price and all the other options (usually the more common ones) are at a normal price.....

its done everywhere so not pointing fingers at anyone - is it a good marketing tactic?

will make up an example, some cycling shoes are advertised for R500 but when one clicks through only size 38 is R500 and all 'normal' sizes (no offence to guys wearing size 38's) are like R2000?

(completely fictitious example)

It should contain something like "from R500". Otherwise it's bait marketing and contrary to the CPA.

This is exactly what Chain Reaction Cycles does...............I agree, damn annoying.

having shopped there for over 12 years I cant remember when last I went to their site, I have even un-subscribed frorm their emails, they're a great story of how they have grown so much from humble beginnings, but they're certainly not the same........

local shops mustn't follow suit......
