Course is the same as last year acc to the description on the cyclelab entry site...

Hopefully they get the distances right this year.. if i recall last year the swim was quite short.. and the cycle was a few km long..

Ya the cycle was about 96km last year - should be the same this year as its the same route.

Did the swim last year faster than most of my 1500m swim times... Hopefully the swim bouys will be put out in the right place this year.

Does the cycle route still have that massive hill in the middle of each lap?

And how was it?

Very tough race, well organised..

the swim was great, its a great venue to swim at.

the bike was fast, except for the insane climb we had to do on each lap, according to my garmin about 13% gradient, it hurt the legs a lot for the run, had to stand and power up all the way..

Run went ok for the first lap, but had stomach issues on the last lap.. only problem was they didn't have coke for the run..

I heard the route is flat with one short false flat in the middle

Buffelspoort went well.. like kingalton said, very tough race.. and that hill hurts.. alot! especially second time around. also ended up averaging just over 34 for the bike.. so must have come in around the same time as you kingalton?

what distances did you get for the race? my garmin clocked 2.2km for the swim?
