I will try arrange a spade or two to lay in the bakkie and we can decide as we go, the soil should be nice and moise for building a little jump/berm or two.

yes meet at Hakahana trailhead. We"ll plan from there. Btw any if you have a good bakkie I'm happy to drive it as an extra vehicle.

I will have my little 1/2 ton bakkie which can shuttle 4-6 riders and bikes at a time. We will be using that, we normally all chip in a bit of cash towards fuel and just take turns to drive.

Yip that was my finding the last time I was at Hakahana (I had a discussion then with the owner too regarding Enduro trails).

What the routes consisted of mainly when I was there was rocks on the ups and downs and flat grass land loops.

What about another category for those who want to compete on the ups too?(Idea compliments Mr. Tread)

NO! Uphills are only a necessary evil to make you appreciate the down more :w00t:

Plus, arent there already trails there that go up hills?

I think tools are premature for this session. But hey you may like to sculpt one good piece whilst others ramble around. ??

I'll bring a spade anyway, if there is a good corner that needs a berm it would be nice to pile up a bit of dirt and see if it works..

This sounds interesting, I am keen to join.

Is there a limit to how many people can join or can we just show up tomorrow morning?

This is a-share-share-arrangement. Anyone welcome. just arrive and we'll make a plan.

NO!!! - That is then Cross Country!

Also remember what i said to you via email ... the more fatigued the riders are the more prone they will be to crashes as they loose concentration easier.

Keep "Enduro" as it is designed - timed descending stages with open liasion uphills ...

If you want have a hill climb event, but dont incorporate it into an enduro - you will be shooting yourself in the foot BIG TIME ...

OK, get it.

BTW Nigel your mail and route suggestions has enabled this idea to get legs so quickly. Thanks!!!

Pleasure dude - the okes on here who will be coming through to your spot tomorrow are cool okes. They have all done our Enduro events here in KZN, so will have some good ideas what to use/do on the ground.

Good luck - Oh and if you want take pics of stuff you are not sure of and send through to me and i can try and help remotely

From my experience the guys that ride enduro/All mountain will be the most chilled, cool, fun (sometimes mentaly unstable) bunch of people you will ever meet. Come and join us, its all about having a good time with us!

We're all cool except for this Nofearnofun character. We do tolerate him though... :P

My Scoobaru can be used for shuttling too as long as there aren't any low overhanging trees etc.
