Hey guys, hoping to get a bit of advice...

Ordered a set of SLX brakes off of easybike (service was great), received them yesterday morning and installed last night.

Now the problem is that the hoses are a tad long but before buying the brakes I had read that it was a relatively easy job to shorten the hoses at home without having to rebleed them. I found this guide online:

Has anyone here done this themselves and if so any words of advice?

Cheers

Go slow!

Be patient....

When taking hose out of lever, keep it upright, when cutting. Also get a nice clean cutter. I saw a bike shop use a cigar cutter thingy, it was amazingly smooth.

New olive and barb insert needed for both, which should of come with the brakes!

Goodluck
