UCI Points on offer, and the second race in the series was this weekend, the next is next weekend, and its being streamed live. For report and pics: US Pro XCT: Bonelli Park 2014 Some Safas in the mix this weekend: 13. Candice Neethling (RSA) Bundu Bashers 22. James Reid (RSA) Trek Racing South Its very much all the North American MTB XC Pros, but some from the rest of the Americas as well. The Cannondale Factory Racing boys were over there as well, Marco and Manuel finished 5th and 6th, with Marco leading for the 1st half of the race. Then they went cruising

kosmonooit Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) Great race last night at Fontana, on a very dry course on the outskirts of LA. 3rd in the series. Dry weathered granite infested koppie. Lots of climbing, flowing not too technical. Big field of Pros in the Mens Elite. Super lekka YouTube stream. Marco led the race towards the end, then Dan McConnell came charging through on the last descent, and Manual Fumic gave it horns in the sprint to take 2nd. James Reid did well, got several mentions by the commentators, came in 16th. In the ladies, Cath Pendrell really smoked it, Katrina hung on to 2nd and Emily 3rd. Candice Neethling 8th. Full results here I think we will have to look out for Dan this year in the UCI XC, he looks fast and rides clever. Just took the Oz National Champs as well. My man Marco should perhaps hold back a bit until the end, but great to see CFR 2nd/3rd and lots of other Cannondale riders there. Edited March 23, 2014 by kosmonooit
