Front Derailleur issue??

Hi Hubbers,

 

I have an old 105 group set and the front Derailleur is a braze on (the ones you tie around the round tube).

 

Now I'm upgrading to a carbon frame (aero) so theres no round tube anymore and it comes standard with a "clamp on" derailleur mechanism.

 

My question is… what can i do to get my old deraillure on the frame? Im on 9 speed still and couldn't find a "clamp on deraillure" to buy to make it work? Im not sure if the 10spd ones will be compatible or what to do?

You can get clamps quite easliy that will fit. Just make sure the diameter of the frame and the clamp are the same.

Sorry for being pinickity, but -

 

Clamp-on = round tube clamp style

Braze-on = bolt tab, always used on aero frames...

will check out and see what i can get.. thinking of maybe a sram rival 10 sp deraillure then.
