Need some help with my rear shock on my anthem x1 29er. It's the standard Fox Float CTD Evolution that came with the 2014 bike.

What must the pressure be? I'm 79 with gear( bladder , ohm etc) let's say 84.

Manuals online say nothing of suggested pressure. If heard double my weight?

Don't trust their guides, they are incorrect...Think its only a guideline as frame geometry differs from manufacturer to manufacturer.... just find the right sag with full kit on(I ran about 20-25%) with the O-Ring, make sure you are stationary and that the fork , if CTD, is on Descend. Ride with a shock pump for the first few times and if it feels to hard/soft let 5 psi out/in at a time ride and then test..... i found that my front end would not hold well on fast corners if fork pressure was too low, so i'd rather run a little hard at first...... that's my xp.

I found that i was running about 60-65 Psi when fox suggested 81.....

Set the sag at the 20% mark and go for a ride but take your shock pump with. Choose a short section that will test your shocks and test it with 5psi up and down. Did it because my LBS told me to do this and I got my shocks perfect, I also ride a 2014 Anthem X with CTD, but my pressures are 110psi at the front and 250psi at the back but I am a bit bigger than you. Then test your rebound, this might take a while but I found 4 clicks from slow to be the best, otherwise the shock shoots you back to quick. But take time and set it up on one of your rides, it will make all of your next rides so much better.
