Mafika Lisiu pass

HI all.

 

New to this forum. I wonder if any of you have ridden Mafika Lisiu pass in Lesotho? It clearly appears to be a monstrous ride!! 1065m climb in 11 KM with a summit altitude of 3090m above sea level.

 

What makes it worse for me... I have not ridden a bike for 15 years and have only been back in the saddle for 3 months!!

 

I have given myself 1 year to go from not owning a bike to riding to the top of the pass.

Anyone ridden this pass and can comment on just what a climb it is?

Looks like a very nice ride.

But your mate's got things just a little upside down if he thinks it comes close to beating out the big climbs in Europe.
