I think the caliper is supplied with a set of pads, so you "score" R150-R200.

 

Depending on the pads maybe a whole lot more than that...

The local agents don't sell rebuild kits, so if the seals are gone you're either going to have to source a kit from fleabay or get a new caliper. As Cassie says, put a wanted ad in the classifieds and you should come right in a matter of minutes.

 

Where are you finding these on eBay, no one sells Shimano seals for the current crop of brakes that I could find, apparently Shimano doesn't make aftermarket service kits/seals for these brakes?

Ah. I stand corrected then. I was under the impression that it was just the local agents that didn't bring spares in.

When that came to light I went over to Hope but the current SLX's are such winner brakes it's a pity you can't service them, crazy to throw all that engineering in the bin just because a rubber seal is vrot.
