DA 7900 chain vs thehub suggested repalcement chain?

Hi, I ride a road bike with DA 7900 GS, it is time to change the chain before it wears my cassette. Besides the cost factor what other chain would be more sutiable as a repalcement for a DA 7900 chain? Your input will be appreciated. Feel free to request any further info.

I would just put a dura ace chain on. I am sure even a 9000 chain should work

Thanks for the feedback, there is not much of a price difference compared with DA chain and i assume the gold edtion is more expensive as well. Do you know o this compares with the DA chain on weight etc?

Ultegra chains/cassettes were always considered to be the best value for money Shimano option.

That said, pricing seems to be catching up to DA.

If cost is the main concern, a 105 chain may not be a bad option @ R295.

The KMC will be a better replacement chain IMO.

 

However, a chain need to be looked after to ensure the longevity thereof.
