Well done to MoveSafe on a great initiative!

From their facebook page:

Cradle and Northern Farm feedback 3 & 4 May:

Cradle:

On Saturday morning we once again swept loads of glass off the route, especially around Sterkfontein Caves area and helped 6 cyclists punctures. We were also there to provide much needed hydration next to Valverde.

Once again we ask that if anyone does see any glass on the route to please drop us a comment below as we sometimes struggle to see all of it while in the Movesafe vehicle.

Fortunately we were not called upon to attend to any injuries.

We are happy to see more people riding the MTB route around the inside of the road loop.

Northern Farm:

Mountain bikers are starting to get accustomed to the cold and seem to be having an awesome time on the well maintained trails of Northern Farm!

We unfortunately did have an incident on Sunday morning where we assisted a cyclist that had fainted due to low blood sugar and dehydration. Our ER24 paramedic gave her some oxygen and glucose and another member of the Movesafe crew took her bicycle back to the car park. We insured that she was okay and she was soon walking around again.

Movesafe' are dedicated to cycling safety and with your support we can do more.

Just a heads up that we are now starting at 6:30am until winter thoroughly kicks in, at which point we will then start at 7:00am.
