Most asthmatics use medication - I use a new generation inhaler and a nosespray for allergic rhinitis but neither can combat lungs full of dust. I want to eliminate the problem, not medicate it.

 

I suspect you should chat to your pulmonologist - properly medicated the dust should be almost a non event - this might mean upping your meds for racing somewhat, but you should not do that on your own.

 

Not much you can do about the dust - a damp scarf/buff over the mouth and nose does improve things, but it does impact airflow somewhat, and fogs glasses too.

Road cycling in stead when it is dry and dusty?

 

It would be a very good reason to buy another bike! Just saying. I think go that route first before consulting the medics, just in case they do manage to solve your problem. ;)
