What other bikes could you compare to the Specialized "Camber"?

You really dont like the fox . I have never ridden it, the previous year, 2013 Cambers, had the Reba.

Thanks guys. Must admit I like the fact that the Rocky is more niche and like the look and feel overall, but the arguments for Camber makes sense - including the extra travel which will probably help a noob like me and make it more fun.

I love the RM's, but I've been converted to Spez. Personally the service from the supplier is just k@k. Just hope Spez is better. I have a Comp Expert and I love this bike, it's only the brakes that are hopelessly crap. Changed them to XT Ice FTW!!!

Value for money you cannot beat the Giant Trance 650B. The 29'er had slow steering as the suspension design just could not find comfort with the large wheel geometry but 650 seems to be the sweet spot..

 

140mm active travel, light frame, good components. Wheels a bit heavy. BB ground clearance a little lower than most but this give better stability.

Good choice, the Camber is great. I also swopped out for XT Ice. Needed a frame replacement, LBS and suppliers sorted me out quickly and with no hassles. Happy riding!

I do not ride any of the bikes mention but I see Scott spark with all XT at 11.40 kg is best spec bike for price.  Spez have a mix of different makes of average components.
