I have a basic fluid 2 trainer. Got the dongle for my iPad. Will I be able to join any races since I don't have one of them fancy schmancy auto resistance trainers?

Cool. By the way, contacted you guys regarding my PowerCal. Been a busy week, will hopefully get it to you guys by next week.

Just curious how it works. If the resistance don't change how will it be more difficult when the route goes uphill?

I've got a garmin ANT+ heart rate strap, what will it cost to get it connected to CVT via the Ipad?

Will it be better/cheaper to buy a new bluetooth strap? What do you guys use with the Ipads?

I have bluetooth throughout...speed and cadence...powerbeam and HR strap. Just from a convenience and uncluttered point of view it made sense to me. Over and above, the Bluetooth transmission is supposed to be more stable than Ant+

It won't but then they will have to spin their mielies off to stay at out speed because its all watts based. Its actually easier for us with ergo trainers because the resistance allows more watts at a lower cadence.

Where did you buy your BT heartrate strap, price?

the trainer resistance will not change but the rider would need to produce more power to ride faster as the app take a known power, known weight and know grade into account and calculates speed. i.e. wheel speed may be 30kph @ 280w but going up a hill of 4% grade 280w may only mean a speed of 20kph so for the rider to ride at 30kph up the same 4% hill he would need to ride at say 450w.
