So i have been riding my bike for a few months now after going from 110 & 640mm to a 70 & 750mm. Its a vast improvement but i feel as though my bar might be to wide now. Although that can easily be fixed, it cant be undone afterwards. So here's my dilemma, how would i know if i should cut or not? Does anyone know of some sort of formula working off shoulder width or something?

What makes you feel that your bars are too wide? What's your build, meaning how broad are your shoulders? Sounds like you made quite a drastic change. Why don't you just slide your grips in a bit and see how that feels? That will give you a view of what slightly narrower feels like.

I purposefully went that wide so that if i need to cut i can and wont have to buy a whole new bar if it wasn't wide enough.

from the outside to outside of my shoulders its about 500mm.

I will try moving the grips inward by 5mm each to effectively make the bar 740mm and so forth. thanks
