Get the rear can at 30% sag and work from that point on with you rear set up.... then get the fork to balance out what is happening at the back.

I found that with this and in trail setting (Fork fully open) the bike flattered my climbing abilities....the only time I used the lockout on the rear was on tar sections.

Glad you are enjoying the bike and surely hope you have swapped out the OEM grips :)

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely change the grips and try the suspension settings advice. However, I have to wait 6 weeks as I have broken my collarbone after taking a high speed trip over the handlebars. I need a dropper seat. :-( Any advice on an inexpensive one that works. Weight not an issue cos I don't often race.

The Giant ones seem good value, got a 2nd hand one in the post

Sorry to hear RE your over the bars superman impression!

The Slider has a 31.6mm dia seatpost, so you would have to get a shim of sorts if you want to run a Giant or Spez dropper post, as they come in at 30.9mm dia.

Reverb is not the cheapest, but sure does work very well and comes in a 31.6mm dia.

Then the KS is also always worthwhile and the X-Fusion droppers (speak to Bibi) would also work.
