Hi everyone, I need some help with choosing a road bike. My budget is R14000 - R15000. I've narrowed it down to 2 bikes that I'm interested in.

The one is the Scott Speedster 20

And the other one is the Cannondale CAAD 8 105

The specs are pretty much the same but not sure which one is the better buy. The Cannondale is R1000 more expensive but with a discount I'm getting offered it comes to the same price.

Any advice would be great please, hoping to make a decision and buy the bike by this coming weekend.

You can good used carbon bike with same or better components and will have some extra cash for deep section carbon wheels.

My 2 cents worth is to go for the dale. The oversized tubing reduces vibration, improves handling, and everything feels more plush. Better resell value on cannondales in general.A No brainer really, but I expect to be hauled over the coles, by some of the experts.

Thanks for the advice everyone. The Cannondale does look good but from reviews online they say the brakes and wheels aren't the best quality. The frame on the Cannondale is lighter and the front derailer is 105 while the Scott has a Tiagra derailer.
