Guys, I been going to Rietvlei alot lately, I like it there, cause the family can chill and I can ride! How is modders in that aspect, My wife does't ride and my daughter of 7 can do the yellow route at Rietvlei. The facilities at Rietvlei are awesome for the family...

I like Thaba as well, but it is not so family friendly as Rietvlei!

Depends on what you want, there is a nice sort of picnic area and a restaurant, a kids track which is nice, it's very quiet and relaxing. Not as well suited for family activities as rietvlei, but definitely worth it for a good book reading and the kids being able to run around and ride the kids track which is right next to the picnic area.

I'd recommend trying it out.

Yeah your wife can catch up at the restaurant with some reading or chill on the grass - there is a notice up that says no picnics without prior arrangements with management - but that's on the patch of grass next to the restaurant - she can head to the fish eagle dam section (it's on the right as you drive in before you get to the parking for the trails) - and your daughter can ride around there as well for fun.

Don't know about the kiddies trail at Modders - see signs to watch out for kiddies but I don't know what it's like.

Modders is my local go to place to ride when there's nothing else on and just want to get in a quick ride - nice new stuff that they've included so I'm sure you'll enjoy.
