Yes - I have had one for a year or so. Willehond has just recently put one on his bike (and taken it off again after it broke) so maybe chat to him.

Mail me if you want any more info.

Edit - mine wasn't the CS600 but the older model

I have just bought one to fit to my tandem. Bought it a few weeks ago and it never worked at all. Read up on it on another forum - looked for all the faults that were reported and still nada.

Gave up and waited for the Argus Expo and after round two with lots of fiddling with magnets to get the right LED's to flash they agreed that it was broken. They replaced the sensor there and then. Took it home and fitted it in time for the Argus.

The problems with the old 725i one were that it never worked on an IDT and it was all but impossible to get consistent across all the gears. Apparently the new one is better in both respects (although I have my doubts) - but as I have mine sensing the timing chain and don't intend to use the tandem on an IDT I don't expect that problem. The local polar people aren't jumping up and down about it either.

I still have to check it against my PT - will fit my PT wheel to the tandem and ride solo when I get a chance and report back. But to be honest I would rather spend the R6k on a used PT.

Apparently the old one is no longer available as the Polar folks told me they took it off the market (the one I have with my S725), so you can't get a new one if you wanted to!

The new one for the CS600 is not compatible with the 700 series, so I am stuck with mine.  No idea if th new wireless makes it any less fidgety.

I took mine to the Expo when the lights stopped flashing after a couple of rides, but the Polar service people could not fix it there as they did not have the spares handy (broken wire).  I am now waiting to hear if they managed to fix it back in Joburg.

So please Polar, I WANT IT BACK SOON PLEASE!!!!  I am missing my data.  Getting very grumpy...

Going to give them a call tomorrow to hear if it's in the mail or not.  I will keep you updated on their support.

I haven't had too many issues with mine. There are good tarining data that the other power meters can't offer. Mine is the older model. I feel that it just needs to be installed properly and then the inaccuracy is minor. I had great after sail service from polar with mine Williehond. It took them 2 days and R60. It was also a broken wire

Thanks boeing.  I am REALLY hoping I am going to get it back this week.  I missed out on my Argus data, and I want to get my training back on track, so hearing your good feedback makes me hopeful.  Fingers crossed

OK, phoned Polar yesterday to find out if my power meter has been fixed, but they "are still working through the Expo backlog".  They "should have it ready before the endof the week".

It is now late Thursday morning, so I don't think I'll have it before the weekend.  So I will probably only get it back next week.

Up to now it's eight days and counting...
