Hi Hubbers in Capetown.i just want to warn you all to take it slow as you approach the Muizenberg intersection when coming back from St James side. There are road works in progress and I hit a sand patch not realizing how soft it would be.. lost control and had quite a nasty fall yesterday. Also damaged my bike pretty badly.it could have been so much worse. Take good care guys... always safety first

I passed there yesterday. Yes the road is dangerous...

The road is now closed for about 10 days - basically traffic been sent up Boyes drive at Kalk Bay. Road open again at Muizenberg traffic lights. This of course means the road is very quite and excellent to ride on. The contractor did not seem to mind pedal bicycle passing - but please be polite and take it slow. Motor bikes not permitted
