Ive always wanted to give track cycling in a velodrome a try, i know that there is Belleville velodrome kinda near me in cape town, but i don't really know how to go about it.

is there anyone who can hook me up with a contact or something? i wouldn't be any good at it but it but i think it would be cool to try!

is this even the right thread for this kind of thing?

Agreed.Best to contact Jaco. The club also regularly hosts Ride the Wall session on weekends, where newcomers try the sport with experienced riders showing them the ropes. The club also have rental bikes available to use if the bug bites. But please take note!Once the bug bites, there is no turning back!

Do it while you still can, the Velodrome's days are sadly numbered. In the 80's and prior the path to professional cycling was born on the track. Not sure when that changed, but when it did, track cycling faced a steady decline.

Track cycling is growing by leaps and bounds, just look at the Gauteng weekly meets, fantastic fun and developing riders for road and track.

Depends on your point of view and what you expect from cycling in general and track cycling in particular.
