  1. If not mistaken, the Titan in question rides on 27,5 wheels.
  2. Pleasantly surprised. After almost two years of not ordering from Crc,and also last time i did order, shipping still with Dhl,so delivery was promt, but ordered last Thursday evening, and Skynet delivered this morning, even as my location lists as remote,70km + from major centre. Skynet sent email late Saturday evening confirming Sars needs money from me,and payment was done on Monday after receiving invoice at around noon. So all in all not to shabby service....i might have just been the lucky one.
  3. Tried many options in the past, and yes,the bend around bb is the most difficult, also even more if seat tube has a bend. A small nut, properly tied to a piece of wool, always does the trick for me.You can drop the nut down into frame, and then you can lift, twist, shake frame until nut is visible on exit point.Normally a piece of wire bent with a hook, helps in grabbing nut on exit. When wool is out on exit side, wrap cable outer securely onto wool, and slowly pull on exit side. When resistance is felt, pull back on cable a few mm,and foward again on exit side.
  4. Gooi mielies Jaco! Wishing you 1000's of happy trail km's with Skorsie, and glad i could have been of assistance and you trusted all my advice.
  5. Judging by pics, looks like incorrect mounting on front derailleur.
  6. Tomorrow will once again show why this race/ride is fast becoming one of the must do events each year, nevermind the free beer and live music at the end. Been doing every single Dbx event for the last three years, and fell in love with this little dorpie,so much that we,as a family, packed up our hectic city lifestyle end of last year, and settled in Darling permanently, and never looked back for one second. Weather will also be perfect, but with a chilly,as always, start. Some rain has fallen over the past 48h up until this morning, which should make for a more rideable and enjoyable route,as some trails really needed some water.
  7. Had a niggle with one of their wheels sometime ago. Within 24 hours Nico and Stephan had the wheel at their shop.Keep in mind that I live about 120km from South HQ,in an outlaying area from them, and they arranged for collection with their courier company. Another 48 hours later, brand new hoop, rebuilt by them, was delivered back to me,no charge! No issues,no questions, just exceptional service!
  8. Day 2 of Tankwa Trek a crack started to appear around a spoke hole in my South Industries front wheel. I was shattered,as i did not know if it was safe to ride the next day and could not find a loan wheel at my mechanics either. Over dinner that evening,i spotted one half of South Industries,Nico Van Zyl,having some supper with some buddies.I sent a text message to him a few minutes later, and asked if he could inspect my wheel after supper at my mechanics,to see if it will still be rideable. Within ten minutes he replied, stating that the wheel should be safe and rideable, but that the wheel will be exchanged under warrantee the following week, and that i should foward my details on the Monday morning. Monday came, and around 8 am i received a message from Nick, nogals reminding me,to foward all my details to process claim. In the meantime i saw another crack on the rear wheel as well, and informed Nick of misfortune..... I received an email and message again at around 10am on the Monday to inform me that a courrier is on his way to collect wheels, all the way in my hometown of Darling!! I rushed to remove wheels from bike, and tyres and rotors in order to beat collecting courrier...... Fast foward to Friday afternoon and bike is ready to ride again!!! Two brand new hoops, rebuilt with new tape and valves ready for tyres and Stans, all done under warrantee!! Nick and Stephan, you rock!!!! Top notch service from a newish, local company with an outstanding local "handgemaakte" product!!
  9. Evobikes = Good honest service, every single time.Full stop! And with their new mackie,Stefan DeWet,even better things to come....
  10. I also only now became aware of the "not so free anymore" laundry service. Think there will be some very dissapointed and confused regular riders this year....
  11. Some South Industries hoops....please,please,please Oom Chris....
  12. Dianne or Norman from Triptych Resources will sort you.Used them on numerous occasions, and they never disappoint.

  19. Because the Versus socks just work mighty fine, looks the part, are locally made, fits and feels so comfy, are available in race or trail versions, and was good enough for me on an Epic ride...
