Hi, anybody got advice for Frozen shoulder. Normal pain killers and anti inflamatory meds dont work. Its affecting my wifes ride. Looks like a trip to the Doc is next. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I had that a couple years ago. So bad that just lifting my hand off the desk hurt like hell. Pain meds didn't help me either. Spent 6 months going to a physio twice a week to get it resolved. I can still feel a bit of stiffness from time to time, though.

Shoulders are tricky but I'd opt for a good physio sooner rather than later (the kind that gives you a good "ruk and pluk" along with rehab exercises). I had a dislocated shoulder a few years back and the physio said that the sooner you treat a shoulder injury, the greater the chances of a full recovery.

Had shoulder issues a while back. Started off with not being able to move the arm when I would wake up, then ended up lasting for 2 days. Eventually turned out to be a calcium build up in the joint.

One surgeon wanted to go in and grind it out, went to Shoulder institute in Stellenbosch - they said it was breaking down already and they just flushed it with some saline solution. Hasn't been back again.

Apparently it is quite common in women.
