Gaint PXC2 vs Alexrim MD19 (GT zaskar)

need advice

i want to give my gaint wheel set to my cycling partner. but he does not have a thru axel front

we must rebuild his hubs on the gaint hoops

Q. will the gaint wheels be better/ the same as the alex rims?

Why dont you just use an thru-axle adapter?

I went through a similar exercise. I battled to find a thru adaptor to fit the Giant wheels. They are apparently brand specific (or so I was told).

 

I ended buying the same Alex rims that you mentioned and they are probably on par with the Giant in terms of quality.

JA...rims are more or less on par, quality and weight wise so wont really be a difference. You can either buy a 9mm QR hub and rebuild the wheel, or get a '15 Thru axle to 9mm QR' adaptor.
